Don't forget to "Spring Forward"

Today we lose an hour of sleep. At 2:00AM we spring forward. "Yawn"
"An extra yawn one morning in the springtime, an extra snooze one night in the autumn is all that we ask in return for dazzling gifts. We borrow an hour one night in April; we pay it back with golden interest five months later." -Winston Churchill

"It seems very strange . . . that in the course of the world's history so obvious an improvement should never have been adopted. . . . The next generation of Britishers would be the better for having had this extra hour of daylight in their childhood.-Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

A New "Late Night"

One week after Conan's departure from the 12:35a "Late Night" time slot a nervously cheery Jimmy Fallon steps in as the new host of "Late Night". Jimmy is in most peoples memory as "that guy" from SNL, and some no him as a no-luck movie actor, but with his new position as Mr. Late Night Jimmy might be able to follow in fellow SNL alum Conan O'Brien's shoes.

I saw last nights premier of "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" and I have to say it was all right. I mean it wasn't the best but it was solid. Conan is my favorite late night host out there but even I remember the days when he (and sometimes the audience) suffered threw a show. Fallon will fall into stride eventually as did his predecessors: Conan O'Brien and David Letterman.

All in all the first show was a good watch (for 12:35). Fallon is lucky, with his house-band "The Roots" earning him extra points and some high profile stars on the show Jimmy might just make it... I guess for now only time will tell.

You decide, watch the first episode of "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" Episode 001.

Conan O'Brien Says Bye-Bye "Late Night"

""Late Night" with Conan O'Brien aired its final episode Friday night, ending its run in New York after 2,725 shows. Conan will be moving to Los Anges to take over Leno's "Tonight Show" slot, starting in June.

Conan had been counting down to the moment all week by taking apart his stage piece by piece and giving it to fans, as well as airing many of the show's best moments...

Joaquin Phoenix?

Wow! So what's up with Joaquin Phoenix? I saw him on Letterman last night, and wow! That was one of the most unusual interviews I have seen in a while. We all know Joaquin is leaving acting to do music, but last night was far from a graceful departure from acting. Either way Joaquin was somewhere else last night and Letterman made sure to make him pay for it.

Now some people are calling this a hoax... well whatever it is I'm sure we'll hear more about it in the near future. For now Phoenix has his brother-in-law (Casey Affleck) filming his transition from making movies to making music. Maybe that's the hoax! He won't retire and all this craziness will be his new film "From Making Movies to Making Music". Who knows? It already has a few pretty good screen credits:
Director: Casey Affleck, Starring: Joaquin Phoenix... Hmmm... Maybe.

THIS IS A SCREENSHOOT FROM THE "NIGHTFIRE" LEVEL IN MAP PACK #1.
Nightfire: In "Nightfire," players take to the streets of a war-ravaged Berlin with only the flames of the burning city to expose the enemy.

Station: "Station" offers a bombed out underground train station littered with hidden passageways and destroyed subway cars.

Knee Deep: "Knee Deep" takes place on the island of Peleliu in a once tranquil village turned chaotic Japanese command center.

Verrückt (Zombie Asylum): The 4-player co-op Nazi Zombies Bonus Mode returns with "Verrückt," a terrifying Zombie asylum..."

Phelps Phucks Up!

Now you would think with cell phones what they are these days... you know with cameras and all? You would think that Phelps wouldn't be so eager to make such an ass of himself in public. Don't get me wrong, I live in California were "Dope" is legal, and I figure nothing's wrong with a smoke. However Phelps is forgetting that with the privilege of fame comes a loss of privacy and certain social indulgences...

Here's what one party goer had to say. "...You could tell Michael had smoked before. He grabbed the bong and a lighter and knew exactly what to do. He looked just as natural with a bong in his hands as he does swimming in the pool. He was the gold medal winner of bong hits..." Get the whole story at News of the World. That a boy Phelps!

Here's a link to an artical about Mr. Phelps last indiscretion...

No touchy-touchy Michael!
Can't you get a girl "Superstar"?
You're a huge Superstar... right?

President Barack Obama

"...Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms. At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because We the People have remained faithful to the ideals of our forebearers, and true to our founding documents...""...Our Founding Fathers, faced with perils we can scarcely imagine, drafted a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charter expanded by the blood of generations. Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience's sake. And so to all other peoples and governments who are watching today, from the grandest capitals to the small village where my father was born: know that America is a friend of each nation and every man, woman, and child who seeks a future of peace and dignity, and that we are ready to lead once more..." Barack Obama's Complete Inaugural AddressA reported 1.8 million people turned out tuesday morning to witness the inauguration of our 44th President, President Barack Obama.
