iPod Touch 2G Touch-Thru Hard Case

-----------------------------------------------------------
I have been waiting for a hard case for my iTouch 2G and for a long time there was nothing. Companies like IvySkin and Case-Mate have been making these hard "Touch-Thru" cases for the iPhone and the early model iTouch (1G). Now IvySkin is making the "Retro 2G Touch-Thru" which seems to be the first iTouch 2G hard case to hit the market. The Retro 2G will be released on the 24th... Today I placed my order.

Here is a quick overview from the IvySkin site about the Retro 2G...

"...The Retro 2G will ship on its official public release date of Nov 14th, 2008. Sleek and crystal clear qualities of a traditional polycarbonate case with the addition of an ultra-thin hard screen cover that stays on the case to protect the iPod's screen from every angle. The Retro 2G delivers on its promise to protect your iPod..."

The Official PS3 Bluetooth Headset

A while back Sony finally got their act together and made an Official PS3 Bluetooth Headset and today I finally got mine. Now playing games like LittleBigPlanet and Call of Duty: World at War (and now Socom: Confrontation) will be that much more fun. I have been playing on-line since day one with both games but I've never been part of the conversation (and/or trash talking). I can't wait to hit the battlefield with voice-chat. See you there. FIND ME ONLINE: SANDMAN-1981

Here are some specs on The Official PS3 Bluetooth Headset...

The Official PS3 Bluetooth Headset:

"...The Official Bluetooth Headset for the PlayStation 3 was designed and optimized specifically for gaming use. This headset offers the highest-quality voice available, thanks to the High-Quality (HQ) mode, which implements various advanced voice technologies and noise-canceling

When docked to the charging stand, the headset doubles as a desktop microphone. View larger. techniques to provide crystal-clear talk quality. And thanks to the dual-microphone design, you get high-bandwidth voice recording and playback. So next time you're in the middle of a heated online gaming session, you won't have to worry that your allies don't understand.

Additionally, with HQ-mode enabled, games that support or require "Voice Command" and "Voice Animation" features will work perfectly because of the headset's excellent speech recognition capabilities. Games that support this feature include
Tom Clancy's EndWar, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation, and more.

Pairing the Headset to the PS3 is automatically done when you connect with a USB cable. While connected to the PS3, a simple button push will bring up an indicator on screen that tells you the connection status, battery level, speaker volume, and microphone mute status...

Late Night with Conan O'Brien Gives Away 6000 John McCain Action Figures... Wow!

JUST FOR FUN: Toy maker Jailbreak Toys sent their surplus of 6000 John McCain Action Figures to Conan O'Brien for some strange reason, and no one knows why...

So last night on Late Night with Conan O'Brien they gave away 6000 McCain Action Figures. Each member of the audience received a Late Night Gift Bag filled with 30 McCain dolls... Wow!

We posted info about these little political replicons a few months ago. I guess now that Barack has won there is no more need for little McCains. Here is a snip-it from the NBC Blog, The Late Night Insider:

"For those of you who watched the show last night (which should be ALL OF YOU, party people), you saw Conan give every member of our esteemed studio audience a clear garbage bag of 30 (yes 30) John McCain dolls! The dolls were sent to us by the company that made them, and they were the last 6000 dolls left in stock. The "McCain Surplus", as it were. I guess the company figured that now that the election is over, no one would want a 'Lil Maverick of their own - and I'm sure they're right! Anyway, for some ungodly reason, they sent all 6000 left to us... And for some OTHER ungodly reason, WE gave them all to last night's audience! So, 6:30pm came and went, and everyone who attended last night's taping was given a gigantic bag of McCains and sent out into the brisk November New York City night. Coolio.

As if that wasn't enough, one of those lucky audience members decided to try and sell their Late Night Prize Bag on ebay. Place your bid here.

President Elect Barack Obama

"I will listen to you, especially when we disagree."   [-Barack Obama]
Barack Obama has been elected the 44th president of the United States. In a historic victory fueled by the energy of a country hungry for change, Obama's words resinate in the minds of hopeful Americans."...tonight is your answer." Obama said, "It is the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen, by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different, that their voices could be that difference."Obama finished by saying, "...where we are met with cynicism and doubts and those who tell us that we can't, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people: Yes, we can."
